Max Eugene Rosencrantz, 85, of Murtaugh, Idaho, passed away November 1, 2015, with his loving wife by his side. Max was born in Castleford, Idaho, on August 20, 1930, to Hyrum and Emily Rosencrantz. He attended school in Castleford, Idaho, and joined the Navy shortly after. Max was very surprised when he came home from the service and learned that he had two new sisters, Joyce and Lynna. Max married the love of his life, Geraldine Kitchen, on April 3, 1963. Their life together was filled with family and love. Max loved to go fishing and camping, and always had his dogs by his side. Max worked for Twin Falls County for over 39 years, and had the honor of having the Max Rosencrantz Pavilion at Murtaugh Lake named after him. His family will be comforted by all of their memories of camping trips and family gatherings together, many of them at Murtaugh Lake. Max is survived by his wife Geraldine, his sisters Joyce (Mike) and Lynna, and his children Keith (Jacqueline), Eugene, Roberta (Ken), Judy (Robert), Jack, and Dorothy. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, his son Allan, and two grandchildren, Michael and Crystal. The family would like to thank St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center for their care of Max over the past two years.
