Melvin William Wiseman, 66, of Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away of cardiac arrest complications on October 29, 2015, surrounded by his family. Mel was born in Twin Falls on October 23, 1949 to William and Irene Wiseman. He graduated from Hansen High School and attended College of Idaho, graduating with a degree in Elementary Education in 1972. He obtained his Master's Degree in Education/Administration in 1993. Mel married Beverly Gorrell Brunson on January 16, 1982. Mel began his career teaching in Jordan Valley and Willow Creek, Oregon schools. In 1975 he joined his parents at Gooding Livestock Commission Company. After selling the Commission Company in 1985, Mel returned to education, teaching and coaching in Gooding and Twin Falls. He was Middle School Principal in Buhl. He served as Principal in New Meadows, Superintendent at Highland School District in Craigmont, and retired as Superintendent of Shoshone School District in 2010. Mel loved to camp, golf, fly fish and be with his very special grandchildren. He was involved with the Restorative Justice Program, and assisted Xavier Charter School with reorganization and refinement of processes and procedures. Throughout his life, Mel strongly advocated for education. Mel is preceded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by his wife, Beverly; his sister Cheryl Korn (Jerry) of Boise; three step-sons, Buddy (Julie), Casey (Jazz) and Bill Brunson; and by eleven grandchildren. Private services will be held. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, November 5 at 4:00PM at Canyon Ridge High School Auditorium 300 N College Rd W. Twin Falls, ID.
