KIMBERLY--Eva McCormick, age 95, died Thursday, October 8, 2015, at Oak Creek Rehabilitation Center in Kimberly, Idaho. Eva was born December 25, 1919, to Arch and Jenny Stombaugh in Holbrook, Nebraska. Eva married William McCormick in Kimberly, Idaho, on October 22, 1938. She served both as a wife and mother but also found time to engage in many other projects. Eva was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Buhl, having been baptized in 1954. She and her family spent untold hours and personal resources to teach others to love and gain knowledge of the Bible. Eva moved with her husband and family to Kentucky in the 1950s to help where the need was great. They lived there for two years before returning to Idaho. Eva and her husband and family traveled extensively to attend and participate in assemblies and conventions where they received additional Bible instruction. Eva loved God and people and tried to bring them closer to their God, Jehovah. Surviving Eva are her 2 sons, Bill (Jesslyn) McCormick of Pocatello, Idaho and Randy (Nancy) McCormick of Buhl, Idaho; and the following grandchildren, Tracy Atwell, of Austin, Texas, Rob McLane, of Springfield, Oregon, Glenn McCormick, Buhl, Idaho, Steven Dean Kehoe of Filer, Idaho, and Amy Leyba, of Nampa, Idaho, and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband William of 69 years and also her daughter, Connie Karen Kehoe. A Memorial Service will be held, Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at the Buhl Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 912 Milner St. Buhl, Idaho. The family requests that donations in lieu of floral arrangements be made to the International Kingdom Hall Building Fund. All arrangements are under the direction of Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home of Twin Falls, Idaho.
