Joyce D. Bennett

Joyce D. Bennett, 69, of Filer, Idaho passed away at home on September 26, 2015 of natural causes following Gallbladder surgery. Joyce was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on November 5, 1945 to Verlyn and Leora Thomas. Joyce married Patrick K. Bennett on September 7, 1990, in Reno Nevada. Joyce loved to knit. She enjoyed making afghans, baby blankets, and socks for family and friends. Joyce raised two Granddaughters, Heidi and Ashley Thomas; whom she later adopted. Heidi and Ashley lived with her for 18 years of their lives. Joyce is survived by her husband, Patrick Bennett; her mother, Leora Thomas; Brothers, Lynn and Daryl Thomas; Sisters, Mary Lee Cliff and Lisa Arnold; Sons, Gary and Allen Nagel, Robert Belka, and Michael Thomas; Daughters, Heidi and Ashley Thomas. Joyce had 17 Grandchildren, 7 of them live in Twin Falls, ID; Jonathan and Joshua Nagel, Holly and J.D. Nagel, Romic and Melissa Nagel, and Amber Nagel. Joyce's final wishes were not to have a funeral or memorial service and so there was a private family viewing on September 29, 2015. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home in Twin Falls, ID.
