Mary Lea (Sue) Langdon found her rest on September 9, 2015 and now resides in the kingdom of her Savior. On June 27, 1937, Kenneth K. and Myrtis M. Leonardson welcomed their first child into the family. This little girl was named Mary Lea after her two grandmothers - as was the tradition on the maternal side of the family. An uncle on the maternal side, after hearing the good news, proclaimed, "We have too many Marys now in the family, so hereafter this one will be called Suzie Q'!" The new family went home to DuBois, Idaho, where Ken owned a general merchandise store. The Leonardsons lived there until 1943, and then moved on to Kaysville, Utah. Moving back to Idaho (for good) in 1947, they lived in Oakley, then Boise, and finally settling in Twin Falls. Sue graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1955 and attended the University of Utah for a year and a half. In 1956 Sue married "the love of her life", "the better half of herself", and "her best friend", Lambert Lucius "Buzz" Langdon at the First Baptist Church of Twin Falls. In 1988, Buzz preceded Sue to the heavenly kingdom having personified 2 Timothy 4:7 "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith". Sue is survived by three "outstanding children" (as she would fondly say); Holly (Leon) Swensen of Middleton, Idaho; Barry (Lisa) Langdon of Hailey, Idaho; and Captain Timothy (Beverly) Langdon, USN (Retired) of Burke, Virginia. Sue took great pride in her talented grandchildren; Leah Dow of Jackson Hole, Wyoming; Britany Langdon of University Place, Washington; Mercedes (Sean) Simon of Orlando, Florida; Brock Langdon and Trey Langdon of Gig Harbor, Washington; and Hunter Langdon of Newport News, Virginia. Sue also took enormous delight in being a big part of her two great-grandchildren lives, Jalen Dow and Langdon Wolfe. Two recent loves of her life were her dogs, Chloe and Cujo, who were by her side constantly. Surviving Sue also are her sister, Ann (Mike) Peckenpaugh of Twin Falls, and her nephew, Matt (Krisi) Peckenpaugh of Twin Falls. Sue spent 38 years working in the Twin Falls County Public School system as an Elementary School Resource Room aide and an Executive Secretary at the Junior High School, High School, and Public School Superintendent offices. After retirement, she volunteered her time to further the education of students. Her positive impact on so many young lives as they passed through the Twin Falls education system is still felt to this day. She was also very active in the Twin Falls community filling support roles with the Junior Club, PTA, Magic Valley Little Theater, Dilettantes, Antique Festival Theater, YWCA Board, Rose Sinclair Award Board, and was a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International. Sue's extended family roots including the Leonardsons, Matthews, and Langdons remain throughout Idaho and the entire United States. Sue remained steadfast in her love of the Lord and basked in the joy, strength, and peace she found in this relationship. She was a long-time member of "the Church with Heart" - First Baptist Church of Twin Falls. She enjoyed being a member there in studying the scriptures - both from the pastors and with the fellow congregational members. She especially loved the Praise Team's contribution to regular worship. A celebration of Sue's life will be held on Saturday, September 12th starting at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of the First Baptist Church of Twin Falls (910 Shoshone Street North). The Langdon family would like to thank Hospice Visions for providing excellent end of life care for Sue. The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Buzz Langdon Memorial Scholarship through the College of Southern Idaho at 315 Falls Avenue (P. O. Box 1238), Twin Falls, ID 83303
