Barbara Sue Chitwood 1934 ~ 2015 Barbara Sue Chitwood, age 81 of Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away on August 21, 2015. She was born in Springdale, Arkansas on February 28, 1934 to Clomer George Ragsdale and Thelma May Rector. She attended Buhl High School where she met and married Leonard Frank Vitek in 1950, and from this marriage three children were born. She later married Jack R. Chitwood in 1967 and they were married until his death in 2002. To this union, two sons were born. Barbara was a hard worker and owned several businesses with her husband Jack including The Beacon Club in Twin Falls, Jack's Pawn Shop in Caldwell, High Country Clothing in Crouch, Idaho, Orley Wood Stoves in Twin Falls and Smith's Handi Mart in Shoshone, ID. When Barbara wasn't working, she loved to camp with her family and the Good Sam Group, square dancing with Buttons and Bows Club, she loved traveling and sewing and she was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Moose Lodge of Twin Falls. She had a zest for life and did not let any grass grow under her feet. She was always on the go! Surviving Barbara is her daughter Kathy (Jim) Waggoner, her sons Terry (Teresa) Vitek, Dan Vitek, Rodney Chitwood and Randy Chitwood, her stepson Jack E. (Teresa) Chitwood, her 15 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her brother-in-law, Burton Baughman and her sister-in-law, Inez Ragsdale. Her beloved husband Jack in 2002, her mother and father, her sister Betty Baughman and her brother Charles Ragsdale preceded her in death. Memorial services for Barbara will be held Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Rd., Twin Falls, ID. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations in her memory be made to the Children of the Moose Heart Mailing Address: Mooseheart Child City & School, Inc. Mooseheart, IL 60539 All services and arrangements are under the direction of Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home.
