Janet N. Wojcik, 83 years old, died August 8, 2015 at Ashley Mannor in Twin Falls from natural causes. Janet was born June 13, 1932, in Paterson, NJ, to Richard DeSee and Nellie DeMeeeter DeSee. She graduated from Eastern Academy, Prospect Park, NJ, and Sherwood School of Business, Paterson, ma, earned degrees from DeAnza College, Cupertino, CA and St. Mary's of Moraga, CA. Janet was an executive secretary/administrative assistant for thirty years in NJ, PA, CA and Salt Lake City. She was married to John Davison for thirty-two years and had three children, Sherrill, Gary, and Joan. The couple divorced in 1998. Janet later married Charles W. Wojcik in Twin Falls on September 5, 1992, and was happily married until Chuck's death in 2005. Janet was interested in music all her life. She joined the Cathedral Choir in Paterson, NJ for eight years, singing the Messiah each December and either the Elijah, St. Paul, or The Creation oratorio at Eastertime. The Choir sang during two live TV broadcasts from NYC with the "Back To God Hour", and was invited to give a concert at Carnegie Hall, NYC. When in Utah, Janet was a member of the Oratorio Society of Utah for seven years, travelling on tour to Edinboro, Can., Jerusalem, and Cairo. While in Cairo, the Society did a performance at the rooftop cafe of the Marriot Hotel at the special request of Pres. Hosni Mubarak himself. It was a sold-out audience because the Society was, at that time, the first cultural exchange from the free world to any Arabic nation. Also while in Cairo, they were invited to be a part.of the 4th of July celebration at the US Embassy, the largest US embassy in the world. The Society was asked to entertain passengers of the Star Princess Cruise ship daring one of its railings in the Caribbean. The Oratorio Society also sang the Messiah each December in the Salt Lake City Tabernacle. Locally, Janet sang with the Magic Valley Chorale for several years, was a member of the Magic Valley Symphony League and, with her husband, Chuck, contributed to the Maestro Circle of the Magic Valley Symphony. Janet is survived by two children, five step children, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Janet's husband, parents, two sisters and one daughter preceded her in death. At Janet's request, there will be no viewing. The cremation is under the direction of Parke's Funeral Home. A memorial service for Janet will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd. in Twin Falls.
