Lena May Lemmons

Lena May Short Dudley Lemmons 1923 - 2015 Lena May Short Dudley Lemmons, 92 of Buhl, Idaho passed away June 29, 2015 at her daughter's home in Creswell, Oregon. Lena was born July 30, 1923 in Colegate, Oklahoma, the daughter of George F. and Minerva (Brandon) Short. On August 5, 1940 in Wendell, Idaho, Lena married Henry Dudley. To this union were born five children, Bill, Kay, Donna, Bonnie and Ray. On May 30, 1972, Henry and Lena divorced. On July 7, 1972, in Payette, Idaho, she married Wendell Lemmons and they were happily married until September 24, 2006, when Wendell passed away. Whatever else you may say about Lena, she loved her life, her children and her God. She worked hard whether she was at a job or at home. Her goal in life was to bring her family and friends to know and accept God in their lives. She always had a smile on her face and a big warm hug for anyone. Surviving Lena, is her daughter Barbara Kay Endicott and stepchildren, Dale, Patty and Judy. Also surviving are her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, all her brothers and sisters, and her four children, Donna, Bonnie, Ray and Bill. Also preceding her was her son-in-law, Danny Endicott and grandson Conrad Endicott. A Graveside Celebration of Life will be held Friday, September 4, 2015 at 12 o'clock noon at the West End Cemetery in Buhl, Idaho where she will be laid to rest beside Wendell.
