September 23, 1943-June 13, 2015 Judith "Judy" Marie Parks passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday June 13th, 2015 at the age of 71. Judy was born to Ellsworth Henry "Bus" Brauburger of Golden Colorado and Martha Manilla "Tillie Henson" Jones of Maryville Missouri on September 23, 1943. She grew up in the farming community of Eden, Idaho graduating from Valley High School in 1961 and that same year married James K. Parks, also of Eden. In the summer of 1968, James and Judy's first child, Crystal, was born and then two years later their daughter Michelle followed. After James' time in the armed services, they settled in Hood River, Oregon where they lived for many years until returning to the Eden area. Judy worked at Ore-Ida foods in Burley where she made many life-long friends. Judy volunteered her time to the 4-H club in Eden where you would find her running Michelle or Crystal here or there and helping them with their projects for fair. Judy was very proud of her daughters and the many accomplishments they both made throughout their lives. Judy was called "mom" by many of her daughter's friends and always had a big hug and a caring shoulder to cry on. It was never a surprise to her to walk into the living room on a Saturday morning and find an additional "daughter" asleep on the couch. She kept a special place in her heart for two such girls, Carrie and Susan and gave them a second home whenever needed. After her husband's death in 1995 Judy decided to go back to college and later earned a degree in Culinary Art. She would tell people about the adventures she had during that time with two of her most beloved friends, "Hazel-baby" and Janice. Several years later Judy was blessed in finding a loving husband and devoted companion in Tom Close. They shared many years together enjoying each other's company. Judy is survived by her siblings; Kay Criscione of Washington, LaDonna Magnolia of Twin Falls and James Edward Henson of Oklahoma; daughter's; Crystal Parks of Baltimore and Michelle (Shannon) Taylor of Eden; her grandchildren; Grayson James, Leslie "Dani" (David) Woznica and Megan "Codi" (Connor) Stubblefield, Mackenzie Ilene Taylor and James Eldon Taylor; great-grandchildren Kaison James Stubblefield; and numerous extended family, She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James.
