Larry R. Monk

Larry R. Monk Larry Monk, 70 of Twin Falls, passed away Saturday night June 6, 201.5 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Larry was born May 27, 1945 in Soda Springs, ID to Russell R. & Irene Munro Monk. He was raised & educated in Soda Springs. He spent 4 years in the Navy and after his discharge spent his career in the phosphate mining industry for Monsanto. He married Colleen Reeves New Year's Eve in 1995 and moved to Twin Falls in this union of marriage he gained an extended family. Larry & Colleen met dancing & have danced for many years. They loved to square dance & have traveled around to many places until his health wouldn't allow him to dance anymore. He now has many friends and a square dancing family too. Larry enjoyed RVing & camping. Prior to his health declining they were able to drive to Alaska & spend 3 months. This was a dream come true for Larry. Larry is survived by his wife Colleen, sister Linda (Doug) Hovind of Minnesota, Steve (Susie) Monk of Green River WY, Dennis (Sharon) Monk of Soda Springs, Beverly (Ranney) Woolsey of Auburn, WY, Stepson Calvin (Sassy) Connell of IF, Granddaughters Melissa (Samuel) Matthews of CO, Jessica Kararic of TF, Grandson Elijah Connell of TF, Great Grandchildren Nathan Karmic, Alex & Harding Matthews, Paisely Smith & many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. He will be missed by many friends and family. A celebration of life will be held on June 16, 2015 at Amazing Grace Fellowship, 1069 Eastland Drive N., Twin Falls, ID at 12:00 pm.
