Doris Elane Worstell 1926 - 2015 Doris Elane Clement Worstell, 88 of Twin Falls, passed away June 5, 2015 at St. Luke's Magic Valley Regional Medical Center in Twin Falls, Idaho with her family at her side. Doris was born June 19, 1926 in Mauston, Wisconsin, the daughter of Arthur James and Rangheld Olena (Stenbro) Clement. She attended schools and graduated from Mauston High School, going on to nursing school where she received her training and nursing degree at Lutheran Deaconess in Chicago, Illinois. While in Chicago, she met a Navy Man, Robert Worstell that stole her heart and she knew she would become his future wife. They met at the USO Center on Wabash Ave. at a dance in 1944. Shortly after they met, Bob shipped out. During the period following Bob's honorable discharge, Doris traveled by train to meet Bob's parents. While Bob was in the service, he had made an effort to travel to Mauston, Wisconsin to meet Doris' parents, because he knew then that she was the one for him and he wanted their permission to marry her. On October 31, 1947, in Corvallis Oregon, Doris married the love of her life, Robert Vern Worstell. It was a very small wedding as none of Doris' family were able to attend. In 1953, their first child, James Robert was born. In 1956, their second child Wendy was added to the family. June 19, 1965 saw the family moving to Idaho. It happened to be Doris's birthday, she put the key in the door their new home and that was it. They have resided in Idaho ever since. Doris worked in Nursing for over 40 years, retiring in 1981 after working in Geriatric Nursing at Skyview Manor in Twin Falls. Upon settling in Twin Falls, the family immediately joined the Immanuel Lutheran Church. They became staunch members and that Faith sustained them through 66 wonderful years of marriage. Doris loved camping, traveling, the Oregon coast, being with friends, shopping, going out to dinner or any family activities. She loved flowers and when she was younger, embroidery. Doris was a member and Lioness of the Twin Falls Monarch Lion's Club, and also a member of the Lutheran Women's Ministry League. Doris was also a member of the Supper Club and after they would get together, they would play pinochle. But Doris's favorite past time, was decorating her home for the holidays. Christmas was her very favorite, the family would have a huge family dinner which she would prepare, then they would go to church, and then come back and open presents. These last few months living in the comfort of her daughter Wendy's home, she has been able to spend time with family, especially the grandkids and her newest great-grandchild. These times meant so much to her. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her Surviving Doris is her son Jim Worstell of Twin Falls, ID; daughter Wendy (David) Marsh of Twin Falls, brother Larson Stenbro Clement of Ripon, Wisconsin, eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Art James Clement Junior and her loving husband Bob Worstell.
