Charles Elmer Harmon, 93, Twin Falls, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at his home in Magic Lake Reservoir. He was born on March 14, 1922 in Twin Falls, Idaho to Jeanette and Paul Harman, he had one ½ brother and a sister. Chuck joined the Navy in 1942 and graduated from Officer Training and Flight School. In January of 1944, while stationed in Corpus Christi, Texas; he was transferred to the Marine Corps where he became a flight instructor in various places throughout the United States. Chuck was carrier qualified and was stationed in Japan during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in 1959 and went home to Buhl to work on the family farm and the Rogers Brothers Seed Company until his retirement. Chuck married the love of his life; Rosa Lee Harmon, on February 23, 1947. Together, they were married over 65 years and was by her side to the day she passed. During their marriage they had a son, David Harmon, and three daughters; Laurel, and twins Debbie and Dixie. He also had 8 grandkids and 12 great grandkids that he loved very much. He loved the outdoors and some of his favorite activities were fishing, golfing, hunting and snowmobiling. It was his love outdoors that contributed in creating the "Damn Fools" Snowmobile club with his wife, Rosa Lee, at Magic Lake West Side in December, 1978. In heaven, Chuck will be reunited with his beloved wife, Rosa Lee, and also with his three daughters. He will be greatly missed by friends and family. A graveside service, under the direction of Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, will be held on Friday, June 12, 2015, 1:00 P.M. at West End Cemetery in Buhl, Idaho. A Celebration of Life Potluck will be held at the West Magic Resort in Shoshone on Saturday, June 13, at 12:00 P.M.
