Lowell Dean Grace, a resident of Burley, Idaho passed away in Twin Falls, Idaho on April 15, 2015 at the age of 83 years old. Lowell was born to William and Cora Mae Grace on December 21, 1931 in Shamrock, Oklahoma. He was the youngest of 6 children. He spent his childhood growing up in Pampa, Texas and graduated from Pampa High School in 1950. He then immediately enlisted with the United States Air Force and served for his country for 22 years. During this time He was stationed for 3 years in England, 2 years in Korea during the Korean War, and 1 year in both Thailand and the Philippians during the Vietnam War along with numerous Military bases throughout the United States. Shortly after enlisting he met and then married Bonnie Lee Lindsay in Biloxi, Mississippi on February 24, 1951 and they later had 4 children: Gary Dean, Cherie Lynn, James Russell and Cynthia Lee. After his honorable discharge from the Air Force in 1971 the family settled in Huntington Beach, CA where He then spent the next 15 years working for the City of Los Angeles as a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator. During this time He also earned his Associates Degree in Wastewater Treatment from Orange Coast College in 1976. Lowell retired from his career in 1986 and He and Bonnie then moved to sunny Arizona to spend their retirement days before relocating to Burley, ID in 2004. Lowell is survived by his daughter Cherie and her husband Ken Warr of Murtaugh, ID, his son Jim and his wife Laurie Grace of Hudson, CO; his daughter Cindy Baker of Joshua Tree, CA; his daughter-in-law Kathryn Grace of Halfway, OR; his Grandchildren Elisa Marie, Michael Dean, Jeremy James, James Casey, Lindsay Rene, and Cory Daniel along with numerous Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Lowell is preceded in death by his parents William and Cora Grace, all 5 of his siblings, his Son Gary Grace, and his Wife Bonnie Grace. A small memorial service will be at 2pm on Sunday April 26, 2015 at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Rd. Twin Falls, ID. In addition a larger family gathering with Celebration of Lowell's Life will take place later this summer in Halfway, Oregon.
