Basil Brashier, 91, of Hansen, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday evening April 3, 2015 with his wife at his side. Basil was born July 21, 1923 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He had three brothers, Cecil, Marvin and John Brashier, along with two sisters Inez and Viola who all have preceded him in death. He proudly served in the US Navy during WWII, after his discharge he returned to Idaho where he met the love of his life Wanda Turner of Hansen. They were married on July 2, 1948 in Elko, Nevada. Together they enjoyed 67 years of marriage. Basil was very well like and respected by all who knew him. He contributed countless years with the VFW, and will be forever missed and loved. Surviving are his wife of 67 years - Wanda of Hansen, niece - Connie Fennewald of Hansen, nephew Lynn Brashier of Boise, great niece - Katie Danielle Pesek of Hanse, Great Great nephews - D'Anthony Wilson of Hanse, and Makai Pesek of Hansen, along with a host of loving friends. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 10, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd. in Twin Falls.
