Joel "Joe" Webster, 61, passed away suddenly on March 24, 2015 at his residence. He was born on September 30, 1953 to James A. and Helen Webster in Twin Falls. Joe was raised and educated in Filer. He loved the Lord and lived his beliefs. He was a member of the Lighthouse Calvary Chapel. Joe was baptized in the Jordan River during his trip to Israel. He had many interests and made many lifetime friends, he was a loyal avid Oakland Raiders fan. Joe had a large collection of the works of Van Gogh, enjoyed having Sunday breakfast with his mother and was an avid reader who had an extensive home library. Joe was employed with the Twin Falls canal company as a dispatcher and historian. He collaborated with several local authors on canal history. He was appointed by the county commissioner to serve on the Twin Falls County Historical Preservation Commission. He loved the photos of early Twin Falls County, where his great grandparents homesteaded in 1904. Joe is survived by his mother, brothers; David of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Bob (Shari) of Nampa, Idaho; and a sister, Cheryl (Keith) Strolberg of Kimberly. He is also survived by eight nieces, 4 nephews and their families. Joe was preceded in death by his father; his brother, Allen, and his dog Tucker, who was his best friend and companion. Thank you Joe for all the kind deeds you did for your mother. A graveside service will he held on Monday, March 30, 2015 at Sunset Memorial Park at 11:00 A.M., 2296 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls. Services will be under the direction of Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, Joe had requested the donations may be given in Joe's name to the Twin Falls County Museum, 21337 Route 30, Filer, Idaho 83328.
