Michael Allan Peterson, 60 of Twin Falls, passed away March 2, 2015 at St. Luke's Magic Valley Regional Medical Center in Twin Falls, Idaho. Born June 11, 1954 in Twin Falls Idaho, Mike was the son and 4th child of Robert Glenn and Marion (Herrett) Peterson. The family moved to Silver City, New Mexico, then to Los Cruces, New Mexico, to San Raphael, CA and then to Napa Valley, California. Mike attended school in Napa, California and at age 26 moved to Twin Falls, Idaho. Mike was a hard worker, working for several factories around the Magic Valley area including Lamb Weston where he met his wife, Carla Reece, Jerome Cheese, Valley Brake & Truck Parts and Chobani. When not working, Mike enjoyed studying and growing herbs, and making cheese at home. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and panning for gold. Mike had a special love for Cats; when being born, he would stay with them making sure everything was okay. Surviving Mike is his wife, Carla; daughter Dar'c Kaye Peterson, grandson, Koda' Ray Silver; loving mother, Marion Herrett Kerr (John); sisters, Kathryn Peterson, Leslie Milliron, Sandy Condon, brothers, Nick (Inge) Peterson and Mark Peterson (Shirley), nephews Ryan & Glenn Peterson, Robert Butterfield, Nick Mattison, David Peterson and nieces, Dawn Harry and Tammy Harrell. Mike was preceded in death by his father, his brother David, grandparents, Norman and Lillie Herrett and Eric Helmer & Mary (Alvey) Peterson. A Celebration of Mike's life will be held Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Rd., Twin Falls, Idaho.
