Helen Frances Kendrick passed away in Twin Falls, Idaho on December 31, 2014 at the age of 89. She was born in Emmett, Idaho on July 27, 1925 to William and Mildred Mills Harlow. After losing her mother at a very young age she was raised by her Aunt Hazel and Uncle Hallie Conklin in Hagerman, Idaho. Helen graduated from Hagerman High School and went on to graduate as a Registered Nurse from St. Alphonsus School of Nursing in Boise, Idaho. Helen married James Kendrick on November 27, 1948. In addition to being a caring wife, mother, and good friend she was also a patient and kind nurse. She worked at Magic Valley Memorial Hospital as well as in various doctors' offices. She was also the nurse for the Kellwood factory when it was located in Twin Falls, Idaho. She finished her career working for Idaho Home Health and Hospice. Even after retirement, she continued to be a Hospice volunteer. She enjoyed her long time association with the American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Jim Kendrick of Buhl and daughters Darlena (Bob) Ohlensehlen of Twin Falls, Rhonda Gassert of Aurora, Colorado, and Judy (John) Fisher of Twin Falls. She is also survived by grandchildren, Jim (Wendy) Ohlensehlen, Cindy (Herb) Gonzales, Brandie Ayers, Michael (Sonam) Gassert, Shannon Alexander, and Stacey Nelson and also great grandchildren, Madison, Sydney, Matthew, and Sadie Ohlensehlen, Camryn Stuhlberg, Hope, Olivia, Leah, and Issac Gonzales, Cody (Kayla) and Taylor Ayers, Michael and Matthew Gassert, Coy, Jordan, and Casey Peyman, and Kaden and Rylee Borkowski. She had one great great grandson, Tristian Ayers. Helen was preceded in death by her parents William and Mildred Harlow, sister Billie Strickland McConnell and three grandsons, Jamie Peyman, Brian Ohlensehlen, and Izaiah Gonzales. An open house in honor of Helen's life will be held in the Moon Glo Community room at 910 Moon Glo in Buhl, Idaho on Sunday, January 4th from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. All Services and arrangements are under the direction of the Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home of Twin Falls, Idaho.
