Helen Galvin

August 31, 1931 — December 25, 2014

Helen Galvin was born August 31, 1931 in Sheridan WY and passed away on Christmas day 2014 at home. She was a much-loved wife, mom, grandma, and great-grandma and her passing has left a huge void in our hearts and our lives. Helen graduated from high school in Palouse, Washington and then worked in Walla Walla, Washington at an insurance company. It was in Walla Walla that she married. Three children, James, Rebecca and John were born from this union. The marriage ended in 1965 and she and her children moved to Twin Falls, Idaho. Helen started working for the U.S. Forest Service in 1966 and retired in 1994. She moved with her children to Kimberly, Idaho in 1970 and married Raymond Galvin in 1975. Mom and Ray spent many years camping, riding motorcycles, and boating at Anderson Ranch Reservoir with their kids. They enjoyed spending time together with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her brother James, her parents, and her beloved husband Raymond. She is survived by her sister Beverly Osieck, brother John Bannister, and her children James Meyer, Rebecca Williams (Bob), and John Meyer (Sandee). She is also survived by her step-sons Michael Galvin and Patrick Galvin and their families, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren who she adored. You have always been our rock, Mom, and we will miss you every day. Your influence on our lives has shaped who we are today. We love you!!
