Maria Amparo Gallegos Alvarez Our most beautiful earthly angel gained her heavenly wings on the morning of December 22nd, 2014,surrounded by her loving family. She is now flying high in heaven with the love of her life. Maria Amparo Gallegos Alvarez was born April 18th 1948, in Mexico. As a young woman, Maria met her soul mate, Manuel Gallegos, a young soldier just returning home. She married Manuel on April 18, 1967. Of their union, Maria and Manuel were extremely proud to raise six accomplished and strong children. In 1974, the Gallegos family moved to the Hazelton-Eden, Idaho area. Maria spent much of her life fulfilling the occupation she loved the most, being a wife and mother. Though she always put her family first, Maria truly enjoyed her seasonal work that allowed her to spend time with her dear friends and catch up on the "town news". Her employment at Lockwood Farms and Trinidad Bean was a treasured time. Her greatest joy in life was watching her grandchildren grow and enjoying the comic relief that they gave her every day. Maria had an incredible talent for growing beautiful flowers and crocheting. She truly took great pride in making extra special gifts for her family. Receiving Grandma's beautifully crocheted present was one everyone's most treasured gift. Maria's life revolved around her family. She was the pillar of strength and tie that bound the Gallegos family. Maria is survived by her lovely children Mayte (Sean) Keele of Hazelton, Arnoldo Gallegos of Hazelton,Rolando Gallegos (Courtney Davenport) of Boise, Feliz (Edna) Gallegos of Hazelton, Manuel(Carrie)Gallegos of Gooding, and Galicia (Ismael) Hernandez of Hazelton, her grandchildren Michael and LisaKeele, Sidny and Jesse Stone, Jacob Keele, Dominique Gallegos, Alesia Gallegos, Skyler, Allie, Robbie, and Tristen Gallegos, Jerimiah, Marilynne Booher, Breanna Money, Marcos, Jacqueline, and NataliaHernandez, and her great-grandchildren Hailey and Brooklynn Keele, Jesse and Taylor Jackson Stone,Devon and Peyton Booher. She is preceded in death by her husband Manuel Gallegos. A viewing will be held at Parke's Funeral Home in Twin Falls on Friday, December 26th from 6:00 to 8:00PM with a Rosary from 7:30 to 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday December 27th at Parke's Funeral Home. Father Kenneth Hein will be officiating. Interment will be at Hazelton Cemetery.
