William "Bill" Reid, 73, of Jerome, passed away December 18, 2014 at the St. Luke's Magic Valley Regional Medical Center. He was born on November 7, 1941 in Joplin, Missouri, the son of Ray Buster Reid and Lovella Ernestine Rowden Reid. On September 2, 1962 he married the love of his life Linda Wright. Bill loved the outdoors especially camping, hunting, fishing and roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. He and Linda spent countless hour's birdwatching and other animals in nature. In addition, he enjoyed spending time with family and always had a soft spot in his heart for animals. Bill served proudly in the US Navy and worked as a police officer. He is survived by his wife Linda of Jerome, Brothers Brett Reid of Meridian and Randy Reid of Jerome, along with Sister Helen Lee of Seattle, Washington, along with a host of friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. "Those that knew Bill will not be surprised by the brevity of this obituary. There is simply too much too tell about the man, and those that know him, already know that to be true. For those that did not know him, nothing that could be written here would be adequate in describing Bill and his life of great adventure. We all miss you, Bill. In lieu of flowers, those that wish to do so, may make a monetary contribution to assist with burial expenses and aid in the financial support of Bill's wife, Linda. Contributions may be made to the Bill Reid Memorial Fund at Wells Fargo Bank, in person or by mail." A graveside service with military honors will be held at the Idaho Veterans Cemetery in Boise on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. Those who wish may share memories and condolences on Bill's memorial page at www.magicvalleyfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are under the caring direction of Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home of Twin Falls.
