Obituary for Ruth Alice Smith Fenton HAZELTON - Ruth Alice Smith Fenton 77 of Hazelton, Idaho passed away Tuesday December 16, 2014 at River Ridge Care Center in Twin Falls, Idaho. Ruth Alice Smith Fenton was born January 13, 1937 in Scott City, Kansas to James Mack Smith and Ruth Malinda (King) Smith. She married Charles R. Renton on August 11, 1958 in Gravette, Arkansas after eloping. They were later sealed in the Oakland, California Temple in 1964. Ruth grew up working in her father's concrete business and as an auctioneer. After her and her husband worked through his college years she worked as a receptionist in their Chiropractic practice. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Charles R. Fenton, her Sister Barbara Hughes, her parents and a son, Roger Lee Fenton. Her hobbies included spending time with her children and grandchildren, collecting bells, painting and sketching. She also enjoyed doing genealogy and collecting Christmas stories and was very organized in all she did. Her family rejoices in sharing her life and say to her God be with you till we meet again. She is survived by her three children; Charles R Fenton Jr. (Debbie) of Hazelton, Idaho, Thomas D. Fenton (Kristi) of Marianna, Florida, and Rebecca R. Fenton of Hazelton, Idaho; 11 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. Funeral Services for Ruth will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday December 22, at the Hazelton Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Tim Callen officiating. Interment will be held following services at the Hazelton cemetery.
