Carol Ann Caster

Carol Ann Jensen Caster Carol Ann Jensen Caster died on December 6, 2014 after a lengthy struggle with Lewy Body Dementia. She was born in Preston, Idaho on May 28, 1941, the youngest child of Falba Larsen Jensen and Meldon Jensen. She grew up in Oregon and Idaho, graduating from high school in Twin Falls in 1959. She started college at the College of Southern Idaho after the birth of her daughter. She graduated with a degree in education from Idaho State University and began her teaching career at Wood River High School. After teaching for many years in Hailey at both the junior high and high schools, Carol returned to school to earn a masters degree in education at Boise State University. Her final teaching position lasted thirteen years at Robert Janss School located in the Idaho State Correctional Institution. She taught literature, writing, reading, English as a second language, Idaho history, government, spelling, grammar and photography. Carol was an accomplished landscape photographer who won several awards for her work. She owned and operated her own small business for twenty years selling her photographs as enlargements and on note cards. Carol loved music and animals. She entertained friends and pets playing her conga drums. Carol was preceded in death by both parents and by one brother. She is survived by her daughter Carolyn Caster (Cynthia Mullis) of Seattle; a sister, M. Maureen Ozburn of Twin Falls; a brother, David Jensen (Marilyn) of Denver; and many nieces, nephews, friends, and cousins. A viewing will be held at Parke's Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 11, 2014
