Margaret Cobb Lux Rumsey, 100, of Twin Falls previously of Filer, was received in the arms of her Heavenly Father on November 23, 2014, just ten days short of her 101 birthday. She was born on December 3, 1913 north of Filer, Idaho, the daughter of Lewis G. and Florence Barryman Cobb. She graduated in 1932 from the Filer High School. Following her graduation she worked at the Park Hotel. On October 31, 1936 she married Joe Lux, to this union were born two daughters. He passed away in 1985. She went on to marry Stan Rumsey, he passed away in 2009. Margaret spent her beginning years as a home maker, raising her daughters, later going to work for Asgrow Seed Company. She remained with the company working in the warehouse and eventually moved to the research center, gaining her degree as a Certified Seed Analyst. Margaret retired from Asgrow in 1976. Craft work was a talent that Margaret had, she crocheted, embroidered and enjoy raising flowers, cactus and vegetables in her greenhouse. Margaret was a member of the Filer Baptist Church, in addition to being a 60+ year member of both the Order of the Eastern Star and the Rebekah Lodge. Serving her community was an enjoyment she had, holding many of offices and positions in the Rebekah Lodge. She moved to Wynwood Retirement in 2011, enjoying her time with the residents and finding a new life after Filer. Surviving are her daughters - Barbara (Lee) Urie of Twin Falls, Phyllis (Mack) Butler of Twin Falls, along with six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, both her husbands, and two great grandsons. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her family rejoices in the fact that she is now in the care of her Father in Heaven and free from pain and suffering. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 28, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd in Twin Falls. Private Interment will follow at the Filer Cemetery.
