Elaine Aeschbacher Daniels, 80, of Twin Falls, Idaho, formerly of Blackfoot, Idaho, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at St. Luke's Magic Valley of natural causes. She was born Aug. 29, 1934, in Archer, Idaho, to Ernest Aeschbacher and Ruby Jane Niederer Aeschbacher. She graduated from Madison High School in Rexburg, Idaho in 1952. After which, she and her best friend moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho where she started her first job at Mountain Bell as a telephone switchboard operator. In 1953 Elaine went with her friends to a dance in Ririe, Idaho and met the love of her life, Delwin C. "Dan" Daniels. Six months later they were married in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on January 20, 1954. Eleven and a half months later their first child, Perry Delwin, was born on December 17, 1954. It took almost 11 years before another child was added to their family. In 1965 they adopted Sherry Elaine, who was born on November 13th. They decided to adopt another daughter, Tanya, who was born on August 19, 1967, thus completing their family. Elaine was in the grocery store business, along with her husband, from 1960 until they retired when they closed their store, Dan's Mighty Market, in 1992. She enjoyed a number of hobbies and activities through the years: Ceramics, gardening, huckleberry and choke cherry picking, canning, making jam, floral arranging and shopping. She loved camping, snowmobiling, boating and fishing. She also enjoyed their cabins in Palisades and in Island Park, as well as the time-share condo in Orlando, FL. She loved the many travel adventures across the United States and Canada, be it road trips in the car; cross country in the truck and camper or motor home; or flying somewhere. Elaine really enjoyed going to church as well as participating in Relief Society meetings, events, projects and visiting teaching. As a mother and a grandmother, she truly enjoyed all of the big family gatherings for birthdays, holidays and family reunions.
