Stanley E. Rush 1919 - 2014 Stanley E. Rush passed away in Mission Viejo, California on Wednesday, September 10, 2014. Stan was born in Amoret, Missouri on May 4, 1919 to Charles Johnson and Sadie Thomas Rush. He came to Twin Falls, Idaho with his mother and father in 1931. Stan worked at various jobs until he created his own delivery business. He frequently delivered items to the Twin Falls hospital where he met his first wife, Eula Mae Bowyer. They were married in 1940 and soon afterward he joined the Marines and served in World War II. After his discharge from the Marines, they moved to Los Gatos, CA. They stayed in California for 30 years, and then moved to Grants Pass, Oregon for about 5 years and then returned to Twin Falls, Idaho. They had four children, Margaret, Charlene, Katie and Stan Jr. Eula Mae passed away in 1978. Stan married Ramona Craner on August 25, 1978, and to the family came sons, Stanley, Galen,Terry, Mike, Andy, and daughter, Kelly Newbry. Preceding Stan in death were his parents, three brothers, one sister, his first wife, Eula Mae and his son, Stanley Rush, Jr. Survivors include loving wife of 36 years, Ramona Rush of Mission Viejo, CA; daughters, Margaret Deal of Kelsey, CA; Charlene Rush of Anchorage, AK; Katie Sween of LaQuinta, CA; 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren. Also surviving stepchildren Stan Legg of Nampa, ID, Galen Legg of Boise, ID; Terry Legg of Anchorage, AK; Mike Legg of Caldwell, Kelly Newbry of Trabuco, Canyon, CA, and Andy Anderson of Pocatello, ID. Stan owned and operated a heavy equipment company where he moved dirt for many years and he worked up until the age of 90. He was known throughout his life as a very honest hard working man who took great pride in every job he did; which he instilled in his family who also have a strong work ethic because of his influence. He loved Ford Cars, Harley Davidson motorcycles, a good cigar to go with his Martini's and especially his dogs. Through the years he owned several motor homes which he and Ramona enjoyed. They spent many winters in Arizona around the Quartzsite area. Stan really enjoyed fishing and made several trips to Washington where he went Salmon fishing. He also spent many hours on the banks of Silver Creek fishing near Sun Valley. Stan was very community oriented as evidenced by his fellowship with the Masons, Shriner's, and Elks. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, September 19, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls. Inurnment will follow services at the Twin Falls Cemetery.
