Charles M Crawford

Charles M. "Mike" Crawford, 54, Twin Falls, passed away August 13, 2014 at his residence. Mike was born to Charles and Betty Crawford on November 30, 1959 in Twin Falls, Idaho. He grew up in Filer and graduated from Filer High School in 1978. In Mike's teenage years he worked for his dad at Brown's Bean Warehouse in Filer until going to work at Amalgamated Sugar in Twin Falls in the fall of 1978. He became a locomotive operator on the yard crew; a job he dearly loved until he was promoted to Yard Foreman. He had to take early retirement for health reasons in April, 2005. Mike took great pride in his crew and working for Amalgamated Sugar. He loved the people he worked with and the respect they had for him is still evident today. Mike married Vicky Roth, they divorced in 1985. He married Debbie Corle in 1986 and resided in Filer, raising two children; Justin Matthew and Chelsea Dawn. He was an amazing father and his family was his world. One of Mike's greatest joys came when his first granddaughter, Shelbilynn, was born in March of 2004. These two became inseparable buddies from that moment on. Mike was a proud grandpa again when Gannon Michael was born October, 2005; Hunter Matthew, September 2008, and beautiful Hailey Marie in March 2011. His children and grandchildren were his life, his pride and his joy. Mike and Debbie divorced in 2012. Mike loved having coffee with his mom, lifting weights, camping, singing, foosball, pool and spending time with family and friends. His sense of humor endeared him to many. Mike's grin usually meant to be on guard for some type of shenanigans. He loved a good joke and making others laugh. He believed if your name was on the job then do the best you can. Mike had a loving heart and could be counted on at a moment's notice to lend a hand to anyone that needed his help. Mike is survived by his son Justin (Lisa) Crawford- Twin Falls, daughter Chelsea (Dustin) Ross- Filer; grandchildren, Shelbilynn, Gannon, Hunter, and Hailey; his sister, Cathy Powlus-Filer; brothers, David (Kathy) Crawford-Jerome, and Jeff(Penny) Crawford-Filer. Mike leaves behind many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by his girlfriend, Tammy Shelly and children, Jeff, Matt and Conner. His extended Corle family who loved him dearly, along with the many friends that his life touched so many through the years. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willard and Ruth (Schuler) Drown, Charles and Carmal Crawford; his father, Charles Crawford and mother, Betty A. Crawford. "We will carry you in our hearts forever Daddy" A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2P.M., Friday, August 22, 2014 at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls.
