Patricia (Trish) Esther Randolph's measure of a life fulfilled was in her interactions with her family and friends. She passed away at home on July 17, 2014, at age 63, in Twin Falls. Trish was born on December 2, 1950, to Alice and Max Mundt in Idaho Falls. She grew up in neighboring Firth with her brothers John, Fred, George, and Glen. In 1969, she left Firth to attend the University of Idaho, where she received a degree in home economics and early childhood education. It was at the University that she met Colin Randolph, her loving husband of 42 years. She and Colin were married in front of friends and family in Firth on December 28, 1971, and remained the very best of friends until her passing. Trish and Colin moved to Twin Falls after graduation to take teaching jobs at Filer and Twin Falls High School and to start a family. It was there that Sara, Scott, and Allyson were born. Trish took time away from teaching to raise her children, for which they are forever grateful. At home with her children, Mom read countless stories, performed experiments, and taught her children to have compassion for others and to be curious about life. Once her children were in school, Trish resumed teaching, one of her true passions and something that she never stopped doing. She taught fifth grade at Agape Christian School, and later, taught seventh and eighth grade math to students at O'Leary Junior High. Trish's love of her "kiddos", both at home and at school, were evident to all with whom she interacted. It was at Agape and O'Leary that Trish met many of the friends whom she treasured for the rest of her life. Trish suffered from multiple sclerosis, and M.S. ultimately forced her to retire from teaching at O'Leary. But M.S. did not cause anything else to stop for Trish. She was always full of joy, emotion, and life. After she retired from teaching, Trish remained busy at home, traveled with her husband Colin, and stayed in close contact with her friends and with her family, whom she loved as much as life itself. She also enjoyed her interactions with total strangers, who quickly became friends. Trish loved to spend time at local coffee shops, book stores, and other "quiet spots", where she could read, write letters to friends, and talk with others. A source of love and joy throughout Trish's life was her husband Colin, who loved and cared for her as a best friend. She also deeply enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren Kimberly, Matthew, Elliott, Henry, and Samuel. She so looked forward to holding and loving her daughter Sara and her husband Jason Wilson's baby boy, who is due to be born on August 29. Trish is survived by her husband of 42 years, Colin Randolph, her daughter Sara Wilson (Jason), Scott Randolph (Stefanie), and Allyson Wright (Mike), her brothers John Mundt (Marty), Fred Mundt (Carol), George Mundt (Valerie), and Glen Mundt (Barb) and their children and families, whom she loved and cherished. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on July 22 at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd. in Twin Falls. An inurnment will follow on July 23 at 2 p.m. at the Riverview Cemetery in Firth, where she will be laid to rest with her mother and father, Alice and Max.
