Benjamin Alvin Tillotson 1981 ~ 2014 Benjamin Alvin Tillotson, 32 of Boise and formally of Twin Falls and Kimberly, Idaho, passed away Friday, July 11, 2014 in Boise. Ben was born September 25, 1981 in Idaho Falls to Terry Alvin and Susan Diane (Miller) Tillotson. He attended school in Kimberly, and at College of Southern Idaho. In his younger years, Ben love dirt bikes and BMX. He spent many hours building jumps and racing and working on his bikes. He love the outdoors, including camping trips in the mountains and flyfishing. His favorite place of all however, was the ocean. He dreamed of one day living on the Oregon coast. Music was another passion of his. He played guitar, loved going to concerts and singing karaoke. Above all, he was an amazing drummer even after he lost his sight. If he didn't have a drum set in front of him, he'd improvise by playing "air drums". Ben had an unparalleled knowledge of old Mopars. You could ask him anything and he knew all the specs, down to the smallest details. He painstakingly restored his prize 76 Aspen R/T, even though at that point he knew he was going blind and would never be able to drive it. Ben had a unique ability to make friends wherever he went and he valued those friendships. He was one of those rare individuals who really listened. Many times he offered a sympathetic ear while he, himself was ill. He loved to share what little money he had to try to bring joy to a loved one. His thoughtful, caring ways will never be forgotten by his family and friends. Although Ben never had children of his own, he took great pride in being an uncle and treated his nieces and nephews like they were his own. Manesha, Alyssa, Calvin, Jordan, Effie, Justin, Kadon, Kira, Amelia, Jameson and Alorra, Uncle Ben loved you all so very much! Ben is survived by his parents Terry and Susan, grandmothers Elaine Tillotson and Donna Miller, siblings, La Shell Rood, Susan Tillotson, Thomas (Lyndsay) Tillotson, Terry W. Tillotson, Jesse Tillotson and Rebecca (Mike) Leazer, his nieces and nephews, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He shared a close bond with cousins Joel Miller and Amanda Lombard, and considered them his siblings. He was preceded in death by grandfathers, Thomas Rex Miller and Commodore Tillotson, uncle John Tillotson, and twin nieces Jazmyn Lynn and Violet Star Leazer. Special thanks to Mike, Don and Angie for their dedicated help during his last days. Ben, we hope you know how much you mean to us. We love you, miss you and will never forget you! See you on the other side!
