Loren Edward "Jake" Jakubowski Kimberly - Loren Edward "Jake" Jakubowski, 75 in resident of Kimberly, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2014 at St. Luke's Magic Valley Regional Medical Center in Twin Falls Idaho. Jake was born on June 17, 1938 in Twin Falls Idaho to Ferdinand Stanley"Fred"and Iva Agnes Jakubowski. Jake grew up on his parent's farm in Rock Creek Canyon and while attending Twin Falls High School enjoyed 4-H and FFA, graduating in 1956. Jake was a truck driver by trade, traveling to Alaska two times to work on the pipeline. He enjoyed rodeo and all it had to offer. Riding bulls and horses was his true passion in life. Even though truck driving was his trade, nothing escaped his true desires. He obtained his private pilot's license, attended Ferrier school learning to shoe his own horses, and spent two years running a pack string and a number of years in the National Guard. Jake was also an accomplished musician, playing the banjo and guitar, and had a true love for old-time country music. Later in life, Jake found he enjoyed skydiving. Surviving Jake is his sister Mary Faith Jakubowski of Twin Falls, ID and many friends.
