Daniel Lynn Roper

Our loving Dad, Grandpa, Son, Brother and Friend, Daniel Lynn Roper, 51, passed away suddenly on April 11, 2014 at home in Twin Falls, Idaho. Dan was born May 3, 1962 to David & Barbara Roper in Tacoma, Washington. His early years were spent in Kearns, Utah where he enjoyed playing baseball in the little league association. When he was a teenager his family was transferred to Oklahoma then to Texas where he many good friends and memories. In 1981, he married Stacie Smith, together they had three children; Kenneth, Bradley and Krystle. They were later divorced but remained good friends. During that time he served in U.S. Navy being stationed in Virginia Beach, VA and San Diego, CA. In 1991 he met Trish Stewart, at this time he became the proud dad to Arianne and later they had a son, Tyler. He enjoyed muscle cars, R/C cars, building models, motorcycles and spending time with his family. The last two years he lived in Idaho where he was able to enjoy time with his children and grandsons. He is survived by his parents, his children; Kenny (Megan) Roper; Bradley Roper, Krystle (Jason) Amaro, Arianne (James) Dudley, Tyler Roper, grandsons; Shadrach, Ricky, Jacob, Landon, Braxton, siblings; Debbie Hardman, Julie (Chris) Smith, Scott Roper, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his baby sister Joy Lynette and his grandparents. A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2014 from 5pm to 7pm with funeral services on Friday, April 18, 2014 10am at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT.
