Theodore (Ted) John Dodge Jr. Born; October 21, 1928 in Hillsboro Oregon. Died; March29, 2014 Wendell Idaho. Ted's Father was Theodore John. Dodge Sr. and his mother was Pearl Anna Dodge. Ted's brothers and sisters are Evelyn Pearl Dodge-Oetting, Robert (Bob) John Dodge, Grace Audry Dodge-Quigley, Mary Alta Dodge, Martha Joanna Bell Dodge-Smith-Greene, Geraldine Faith Dodge/Hagerman, Venetia Dodge, James (Jimmy) Levi Dodge. Theodore Dodge grew up and lived most of his life in Oregon in the Hillsboro, Clackamas, Estacada, Oregon city, Sandy, Molalla and greater Portland areas. Later in life, he moved to Wendell, Hagerman, and Twin Falls Idaho. Theodore John Dodge, Jr., enlisted in the New Regular Army in 1946 in Clackamas County Oregon, and served 9 ½ years and during the Korean Conflict. Upon returning home from the Army, Ted met and married Louise F. Pierce/Dodge and together they had three children; Jesse John Dodge, Katherine Lynn Dodge, and Frederick Dean Dodge. They lived together in Oregon for 12 years and decided they needed to go their separate ways at that time. Ted was employed for the Oregon Forest Service, construction jobs with Russell Pierce, Pacific Motor Trucking for 17 ½ years and Independent Motor trucking for several other years until he was severely injured on the job and became partially disabled at that time. He worked part time in Idaho for at The Penta-Post and Pole Company in Tuttle Idaho and then for several fish hatcheries for Kenny Ellis in the Hagerman valley. Ted had moved to Idaho and to be with his three children in the 80's because all of his children were living in Wendell Idaho at that time. Back In the 70's Ted had always been a God fearing man but was approached and began a Bible study with some of Jehovah's witnesses and as he studied on and learned more about the Bible teachings he realized that he had been missing out on the truth, Jehovah's witnesses not only believed in God and his son Jesus Christ, but they also lived their lives according to Jesus' words that were recorded in the Holy Scriptures and that the scripture show that true followers of Christ will be recognized by their way of living and their love for all other peoples nations and tongues. Ted from that time on looked forward to learning more about the holy teachings and more about Gods Kingdom that would come in the future and put an end to all death, pain and suffering and also the time when all of the dead would be resurrected and that is recorded in the Bible at John 5:28-29. Ted knew at that time that he had found the Truth. Ted met the last love of his life in Hagerman Idaho, Linda Borgono/Raper who was also a faithful Jehovah's Witness and they were married and lived for several years in the Hagerman valley area until they sold their house and moved to Twin Falls Idaho. Ted loved to work hard and with his hands, he was the hardest working person I have ever met in my life and in my opinion he could outwork any two people with the same given task at any time. He was always busy doing something that needed to be done and hard work was a part of his life. Marigolds were one of his favorite flowers and planted millions of them Ted loved to search for gold and other hidden treasures, as well as crabbing, digging clams, fishing, hunting, growing gardens, remodeling older homes, building things, working with his hands, digging potatoes, raising pheasants and chickens and he loved spending time with all his family & friends. Ted lived for several years with the Alzheimer's disease and he finally succumbed to this disease on March 29, 2014. Ted will be dearly missed by all his friends, family members and extended family members as he was blessed with many brothers, sisters, children, stepchildren, grand-children, nieces, nephews, cousins' uncles, aunts, and friends. There will be a service for Ted at the local Kingdom hall of Jehovah's witnesses located in Wendell Idaho and an announcement for this future service will be announced as soon as a date is scheduled. This service will be for any and all friends, family and acquaintances that would like to attend at that time. Ted was preceded in Death by (Father) Theodore J. Dodge Sr. (Mother) Pearl A. Dodge.
