Arthur Edward Mader 1936 ~ 2014 Arthur Edward Mader, 77 died Thursday, March 13, 2014 at St. Luke's Magic Valley Regional Medical Center in Twin Falls, Idaho. Art was born May 17, 1936 in Minneapolis Minnesota to Hazel Ellis Manard. He grew up in Los Angeles, California and Twin Falls Idaho. Art enlisted in the Navy but was discharged for medical reasons. While growing up, Art worked at the Amalgamated Sugar Factory under the direction of his stepfather, William Haffner. He loved to shoot pool and eat. Later in the Twin Falls Care Center, he spent time playing bingo and eating. Art never made millions but he was one in a million. Art was a very giving person and there was never a stranger that he wouldn't give the shirt off his back and his last penny to if he felt they needed it more than he. Many times, he would bring strays of all kinds home--- both people and animals. It was very important to Art to make others feel good. Art found the love of his life and married Roberta June Schmalenberger on February 3, 1987. He never had any children. Art is survived by his wife of 27 years, Roberta, and his half-sister, Laura (Brad) Anderson. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 21, 2014 at 1:00 PM. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Rd., Twin Falls. Final resting place will be the Jerome Cemetery, Jerome, Idaho.
