Nettie Arlene Burgoyne

Nettie "Arlene" Burgoyne, 86 of Twin Falls, Idaho passed away Monday March 10, 2014 at Serenity Living in Emmett, Idaho. She was born September 9, 1927 in Berryville, Arkansas to James W. Johnson and Minnie Hayhurst Johnson. She then moved to Idaho from Arkansas in 1943 and married Lee Aldon Burgoyne May 1, 1944 in Elko, Nevada. Arlene was a devout Christian who was a lifelong member of the Twin Falls Christian Church. She worked at Safeway during the 1950's and 60's and taught private guitar lessons from her home well into the 1990's. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lee in 1984, along with 4 brothers and 3 sisters. She is survived by her daughter Sharlyn Lee Waldrop, her son Steven Dwight Burgoyne, her five grandchildren; Jeannie, Lisa, Brent, Lynda, Christy, and her beloved ten great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, sister - Bobbie Fish, brother - Leon Johnson. We will always remember and cherish her caring, loving personality, her wonderful photo albums, the family camping trips, her deep love of God, family, friends and animals. Services are planned for Friday March 14, 2014 at 2 pm. Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Rd. Twin Falls, Idaho (208) 735-0011. Viewing is Thursday March 13, 2014 from 5-7pm at the funeral home and Friday prior to services beginning at 9am. Burial will follow at Twin Falls Cemetery.
