Michael Deems Taylor 1946 - 2014 Michael Deems Taylor, 67 of Twin Falls, ID was born June 19, 1946 in Idaho Falls, ID He was the middle child of five boys born to William Taylor and Blanch Moncur Taylor. He was raised and attended his early school years in Idaho Falls, and graduated from Burley High School in 1964. As a young man he entered the Air Force and served his country honorably, where he met and married his first wife Patricia Ann Decker. They raised their son for the most part in Sandy, Oregon. Sometime after she chose to move on, Mike started to attend the singles ward where he eventually met and dated Marianne Elizabeth Hall, who was raising three children. Mike took all three of her children on individual dates, after which the kids unanimously voted for him to become their new father. Together they gave life to 5 more children whom they raised for nearly 10 years prior to Mary Ann's passing. When his children were young, they owned a farm in Sandy, Oregon. The kids all thought it was paradise. There they raised animals and grew gardens and shared hard times, although the kids never knew that they were hard times. They just knew it was their little piece of Heaven on earth Mike married the love of his life, Judy Panelley Taylor on November 28, 1992. With her 2 sons they now had 11 children between them. Whom they loved more than words could express. Mike was blessed to be able to be in Oregon for 2'weeks in December 2013 where he spent some one on one time with each of his children there.. Mike started at Lowes in 2005, and loved his work, and was one of the hardest and most pleasant workers there, whether it was as a customer service rep or as a manager it showed by work well done and in the appreciation he received by peers and top management. He retired from Lowe's October 1,2013. When not at work, Mike loved being a Webelo leader and excelled in working with the boys to ensure they each graduated onto becoming a Boy Scout. He was more of a quiet man and when working in the nursery he was especially good at quieting the upset child, or sitting one on one with a child to their delight. He enjoyed car shows, was especially fond of Mustangs and muscle cars. In his early years he had a GTO that he loved to work on, however his latest pride and joy is his truck. He spent most of his time ensuring it looked like it was well taken care of and it was. He also loved hiking with his wife Judy and one of their favorites was hiking up the trail at Timberline lodge to the top of the highest waterfall and then resting on their blanket listening to the sounds. Their last hike was in St George's Snow Canyon to the Three Lakes. Even though they were dry, it made no difference to them,. It was finally their time together after Mike had retired. He enjoyed music of all kinds, especially Josh Groben and Phillip Phillips, as well as many from the wild side of the 70's and 80's.
