Garry D. Lisenbee, of Twin Falls, ID passed away early Wednesday, February 26,20L4, at Saint Alphonsus' Hospital in Boise from injuries sustained in a fall at his home. Born Sept. 2, 1936 in Gooding, lD, Garry finished high school in Gooding and went to work at Safeways. He was there for twenty-three years, followed by nineteen years as manager of North's Chuck Wagon. Gary loved to hunt and fish. His love of hunting grew after he got his mule "Radar". Garry was an active member of the Moose Lodge from 1984 until his death. He served several local and state offices and received the Pilgrim Degree, the highest degree in the Lodge. He was at his happiest when he was cooking, playing darts or beating his wife Mavis at cards. He also loved to play Santa at Christmas. His pride and joy were his four dogs (his babies) and the time he spent teaching them tricks. Garry is survived by his wife, Mavis; his children, Layne (Jenny) Lisenbee, Dixie Holtz, Jerry (Val) Lisenbee, Dan (Pat) Thornton, Tom Thornton, Lori (Ren) Thompson, and Jay (Angie) Thornton. He is also survived by sixteen grandkids and six great-grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Larry Lisenbee, two brothers and a sister. A special thanks to all his caregivers at Saint Alphonsus' Hospital for making his last few days as comfortable as possible. There will be no service at this time, but there will be a Celebration of Life sometime in the future. ln lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Twin Falls Moose Lodge or the Shriners. Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home is handling his final arrangements. Those wishing to share memories and condolences may do so on Garry's memorial webpage at www.magicvalleyfuneralhome.com.
