Robert Frederick Carlson May 5, 1918-Jan. 27, 2014 Twin Falls, ID Robert Frederick Carlson, 95, died Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, of natural causes. He was born May 5, 1918, in Rupert, Idaho, with his twin sister Ruth, to Victor Carlson and Ida Ellen Larson. He attended school, in Rupert, As well as telegraphy school for the Union Pacific Railroad. He was a WWII Veteran serving in New Guinea, Australia, and the Philippines. On August 4, 1946,he married Barbara Carlson, in Pocatello, Idaho. He lived in Rupert, Boise, and Twin Falls. Robert worked as a telegrapher and ticket salesman for the Union Pacific Railroad and retired after 35 years. He was baptized a member of the LDS church and he and Barbara also attended the Full Life Family church for several years. His hobbies included fishing and boating. He also enjoyed playing cards and loved his grandchildren. Surviving Robert is his twin sister Ruth Ross, of Rupert Idaho, His two daughters, Cindy Moore of Twin Falls, and Gaye (Keith) Teuscher of Provo Utah. Also surviving are his six grandchildren, Amanda Taylor, of Spanish Fork, Utah, Evonne Bak, of Minnesota, Jennilyn Parish of Nampa, Leah Holloway of Filer, and Ryan and Shawn Moore of Utah; and 10 Great grandchildren, Kinsie, Chelsie, Caitlyn, Jared,Jaxon, Liv, Cooper, McKayle, McKinzee, and Kiah. He was preceded in death by his wife - Barbara,parents and his brother, Victor Ivan Carlson. Visitation for Robert will be held Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, ID. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014 at 11: 00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be held in the Idaho Veterans Cemetery in Boise, Idaho.
