Martha Rairigh, our loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, has left this earth to enter her next voyage with the Lord at the age of 89. She passed away peacefully at home on January 15, 2014 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Her children were by her side. Our mom was born on the family farm in Murtaugh on October 7,1924 to Joseph and Sophia Stastny. She was raised with her 4 brothers and 3 sisters. She attended the Bickle School through 8th grade, and then finished high school in Murtaugh. She attended college in Albion and Salt Lake City. She worked keeping books for the Rogerson Hotel, then for Dr. Wayne Schow. In 1960, she was set up on a blind date with William (Bill) Rairigh, and shortly after they were married. They lived a short time in Twin Falls and then moved to California. In 1973, they moved back to Twin Falls. Martha lost the love of her life in June of 2013. Mom had a love for children Caring for them was her greatest passion, which was evident by the smile on her face when they were around. She was known to all as grandma. Mom leaves behind 4 children: Kathy (Bobby) Noyes of Ketchum; Christy (Steve) Brehm of Twin Falls, Sherry Romans of Twin Falls, and Scott (Beth) Rairigh of Boise, 9 grandchildren Jenna, Cody, Kyle, Destiny, Mali, Britni, Holly, Dakotah, Mason, 4 great grandchildren Zayden, Dekklin, Macy, and Saraya, 2 brothers Mike (Ruby) Stastny, Joe (Helen) Stastny, 2 sisters Slava Kalisek and Vlasta Saunders all of Twin Falls and a very special extended family Don & Claudeen Buettner and children Jenny and Dennis. Martha is preceded in death by her husband Bill, her parents Joseph and Sophia Stastny, Brothers Ed & Bohus Stastny, and one sister Libby Whittekiend. A visitation will be held at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home & Crematory, 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls on Wednesday January 22 at 5 P.M. followed by a Rosary at 7 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday January 23 at 11 A.M. at Saint Edwards Catholic Church, 161 6th Ave East, Twin Falls.
