Joanne L Anderson 1930 ~ 2013 Joanne L Anderson, 83 of Twin Falls passed away December 18, 2013 at Rosetta Assisted-Living Center in Twin Falls, Idaho. Joanne was born July 9, 1930 in Spokane Washington, the daughter of Lawrence Leslie and Ruth A. (Keefer) Lincoln. It was the late 30s, during the Depression when she moved to Stockton California with her family. They then moved to the Bay Area where she attended school and met Jon Anderson. Joanne married Jon, January 19, 1947 in Oakland California and to this union were born four daughters, Joniann, Lysbeth, Renée and Janee. . The family resided in Concord for over 20 years. Joanne was an awesome homemaker, wife and mother but she also worked outside the home for most of her adult life. Joanne had a very strong work ethic and her career began in banking at the Port Chicago Naval Weapons Station and then went onto work at the NAVCON Federal Credit Union in Concord California. In November 1970, the family moved to Twin Falls where Joanne went to work for the Department of employment and she retired from there in 1988. Joanne was very proud of her work ethic and she raised her four daughters and was extremely active in all their activities, especially 4-H and horses with Jane?. Joanne was a self-taught person and she made beautiful afghans that she took to the Filer Fair and won many ribbons for her efforts. Joanne loved cooking and crocheting Each one her of her children and grandchildren have a special crocheted blanket that she made for each one of them and they are held very dear to their hearts. When she wasn't cooking or crocheting or taking care of her family, she and Jon loved to travel and spent many wonderful years camping, fishing and visiting their four delightful daughters. Joanne is remembered as a person who did not have a mean bone in her body, she was a friend to everyone. Family was very important to her and she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Joanne was also known for her love of the holidays and her family remembers her baking hundreds of Christmas cookies that were given to family and friends as gifts from the Andersons. Surviving Joanne is her loving husband of 66 years, Jon of Twin Falls; daughters, Joniann Anderson of Phoenix, Arizona, Lysbeth (Beth) Rawski of Pleasant Hill, California, Renée V. Carraway (Steven A. Johnson) of Kimberly, Idaho and Jane? L. Anderson (Darrel B. Howells II) of Eagle River, Alaska; also surviving are her 10 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Ruth Lincoln, her two brothers, Larry and Joe Lincoln, and her sister and Best Friend, Eloise Dumond. Cremation and arrangements were under the direction of Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home of Twin Falls Idaho. The family wants to forever thank Lisa and the wonderful and loving staff at Rosetta Assisted-Living Center for the love and personal care they have given Joanne for the past six years.
