Mercer Eugene Fountain, 80, of Eden, passed away December 11, 2013 at St. Luke's Magic Valley Regional Medical Center in Twin Falls. He was born on August 19, 1933 in Forsyth, Georgia, the son of Arthur and Ollie Martin Fountain. Following his graduation from High School Eugene served in the US Marine Corps. Upon his discharge he continued his education. During his life he worked as a police officer, funeral director and minister. On May 19, 1993 he married Jacqueline Germaine in Twin Falls. After their marriage they honeymooned in Hawaii. Together they enjoyed going on rides in the country, fishing and taking care of people. His loving spirit was known to many. Eugene loved the Lord, and enjoyed attending the Holiness Church in Twin Falls. Surviving are his wife Jackie of Eden, children - Damon Fountain, Jerry Fountain and Debbie Fountain, step children - Eldon (Melanie) Adams, and Angel Evans, and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, step grandchildren - Brandon Adams, Troy Adams, Gunner Adams, Randy Evans and Kellie Evans. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. A celebration of Eugene's life will be held on Monday, December 16, 2013 at 4:00 P.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd. in Twin Falls.
