Roy Francis Carpenter

Roy Francis Carpenter, age 91, of Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away November 18, 2013 at Chardonnay Assistant Living Center of Twin Falls, Idaho. Roy was born to Mary Bachman Carpenter and George Carpenter on July 20,1922 in Rulo NE. Roy worked at Summer Sand and Gravel Company, later Monroc, for many Years. He married Betty Giltner and had three children together Kelly (Carol) Carpenter Edward (Valerie) Carpenter and Michelle (Paco) Crespo. Roy served in the US Army in Europe in World War II. Roy loved gardening and taking care of his lawn and flowers and fruit tree's. In his earlier years he liked fishing and camping, and loved playing cards with the family. After retirement he loved coaching his granddaughter's softball team with his son, ED. Roy is survived by his three children, six grand-children, twelve great-grandchildren, one brother and one sister. Roy was proceded into death by his wife, Betty, his parents and his eight brothers and sisters. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday December 13, 2013 at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Road Twin Falls Idaho.
