Marlin Shaw passed away peacefully at the age of 78 on November 7, 2013 at his home in Twin Falls, Idaho. "Red" as he was known by his friends and family, was born April 13, 1935, Guthrie, Oklahoma. Marlin lived his childhood years in Mulhaul, Oklahoma. On August 22, 1953, he married Elsie Bernice Sebring and they were married happily for 47 years. Together they raised four children, (twins) Lonnie Shaw (Lucy) Rupert, Idaho, Bonnie Shaw Zulauf (Tom) Belgrade, Montana, Dewayne Shaw and Robert Shaw Twin Falls, Idaho, along with numerous grandchildren, great children, nephews, nieces, and his best friend - his dog Bodie. Marlin and Elsie moved to Heyburn, Idaho in 1955. Marlin worked for Simplot's, Price Service Station, Rupert Showcase, Wilson Bates and S & W Enterprises. He owned the Arctic Circle Drive in from 1971 to 1976 in Bozeman, Montana. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved spending time fishing, camping and hunting. Along with time spent with his special friend Lena Thomas. They enjoyed their time dancing and traveling together. A gathering and visitation will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2013 from 5 - 7 P.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd., in Twin Falls. A Celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 15, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home. Private inurnment will follow at a later date.
