Brenda Kay (Harshbarger) Owens April 28, 1960 ~ October 26, 2013 We had let Brenda go home to Our Heavenly Father, to be with her mother and her life love, Rick. Brenda was born to Margaret Ann Jones and Homer Jarrel Harshbarger on April 28, 1960 in Los Angeles California. She grew up in Southern California, riding motorcycles and having fun listening to her brother sing and play the guitar. Her best friends were always her older siblings, Karen and Charles. Brenda loved working for Aaron Thomas, here she made many lifelong friends during her factory management. On May 9, 1981, Brenda married her love, Richard Lee Owens. Living with a man of the sea was not always easy, but they made it work. Motorcycle rides were a shared love of theirs, especially on Rick's 59 Triumph Bonneville, a project they witnessed from frame to license plate. Together they had three children, Megan Kristina and Daniel Owens. In September 1994, they divorced but remained the best of friends and were always there for each other. On August 24, 1994, Brenda married Russ Hulse and although it was a short lived love, they share two children, Harley and Brenda. They divorced in January 2000. In recent years Brenda has enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, be it in the city or in the country. She enjoyed watching them grow so she could report to Capt. Plank in Heaven. Surviving Brenda is her older sister, Karen (Milo) Andrews, brother Charles (Kandy) Harshbarger and many loving cousins. Also surviving Brenda are her children, Megan Roper, Kristina (Lance) Caswell, Daniel (Kacie) Owens, Harley Hulse and Brenda Hulse, Kenny Roper and many other adopted and loved children. Six grandchildren, Shady, Ricky and Jacob Roper, LySander and Shaylynn Caswell and Desmond Ezra Owens. She was preceded in death by her father, Homer Harshbarger, her mother, Margaret Ann Tuttle, the love of her life Richard Lee Owens Jr.; grandparents, her favorite Aunt Lorraine Jones and many other family members. A celebration of Brenda's life will be held Thursday, October 31, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Rd., Twin Falls, ID.
