Kimberly K. Miller Nov. 1, 1967-Sept. 20, 2013 NAMPA -- Kimberly K. Miller passed away at her home Friday, Sept. 20, 2013. She passed in her sleep with her loyal (and spoiled) companion, Nina, by her side. Kim loved her little dog. Kim was born Nov. 1, 1967, in Twin Falls, Idaho, to Harold Jr. and Beth Miller. She grew up in Hansen, Idaho, and attended school there (sometimes). Kim had two children with Fred Hernandez: Dustin Michael Miller and Haley Dawn Miller. Dustin passed away at the young age of 9 months. Kim never got over that loss. Kim deeply loved her children. Haley was always her little baby. Kim was a free spirit and quite adventurous. She moved several times before settling down in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, in 2005. It was there that she found her peace and happiness. Kim made many close friends in Coeur d'Alene. She was happiest when on the lake or jumping off bridges with them. One night in particular, she called at 1:30 a.m. to say she was on the lake partying with John Elway and friends. She put him on the phone while she steered his yacht and he asked if he should let her drive. I told him that he better have good insurance. You never knew what her next adventure would be. Kim moved to Nampa, Idaho, to be close to her family in 2011 after a back injury on the job. She was planning on moving back to the Coeur d'Alene area after she healed from her impending back surgery. Kim was always a sucker for stray animals and volunteered at various animal shelters around Nampa during the times she could not work. During this time she also worked in her sister, Brenda's, family business, Miller's Family Elephant Ears. Kim was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents; her father, Harold Miller Jr.; a sister, Linda Bailey; her son, Dustin Miller; and grandson, Ivan Miller. She is survived by her mother, Beth Mills; one brother, Mike Miller; two sisters, Brenda Miller and Toni Miller; daughter, Haley Miller; and the light of her life, grandson, Adrian Miller; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Kim's roommate, Pat Elorrieta, and her neighbors, Levi and Mindy Thomas, for taking such good cafe of Kim. We are forever grateful. An open house farewell celebration will be held on Friday evening, Oct. 4, at Norm's Catering room, 827 Main Ave. W. in Twin Falls. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. to say goodbye and share their memories and crazy stories with the family. Those who wish may send memories and condolences at www.magicvalleyfuneralhome.com
