Shirley Ash Bellusci

January 4, 1929 — September 3, 2013

SHIRLEY ASH BELLUSCI Shirley Ash Bellusci was born in Denver, Colorado on January 4, 1929. It was a Friday when she came into this world. I'm sure she was screaming and hollering! That would explain the red hair. She lived in various place in Colorado, extending from Indian Hills to Lakewood and Littleton, but mostly in the mountains. She graduated from Bear Creek High School. Times were hard especially during World War II. During this time she met Robert Farner. They fell in love, married and produced three children, Patrick, Teri and Vicki. Things were wild and crazy back then, I am sure. Like so many marriages back then, divorce was in their destiny. After all the craziness, she moved to Nevada to live with her mother and father, who managed Jimmy Stewart's Ranch. From there she moved to Twin Falls, Idaho for work. Little did she know, she would meet her future husband Bill Ash, and they soon married. Later a son, Jimmie Lee Ash was born to them, whom her mother helped deliver at home. Soon Colorado was calling her back. After moving back, they had a daughter, Susan Kay. They had many years making memories of the good times and the bad. Bill and Shirley were married off and on for more than 40 years. After trying several times to make their marriage work, they too ended in divorce. She was a very busy women, she had experienced many things in her life. She spent over 25 years working for Martin Marietta where she worked on the aerospace projects. She retired soon after her son Jimmy died in 1985. Anybody that knew Shirley knew she loved to dance. Her favorite was ballroom dancing and she was extremely good at it. She also loved her sweets, for example chocolate. She always went to the store for nothing in particular and managed to always come home with cookies, cakes and candy; so needless to say she always had a sweet tooth. Years later she met a kind gentleman named Frank Bellusci whom she married. They spent all their time together enjoying life. They danced, traveled, golfed and spent time with lifelong friends, Maxine and Gerry, Alta, Jim and Jean and also many others. Frank had passed away in 2003, but that didn't keep her from having fun. Shirley moved back to Idaho to live with her youngest daughter Susan. There she lived till her passing on September 3, 2013. She left behind five children, eighteen grandchildren, thirty-seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brothers, her son and her husband, Frank. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
