Danny L. Brown May 10, 1933 - August 15, 2013 Danny L. Brown, born May 10, 1933 in Higginsville, Missouri to Bert and Icel Brown, the oldest of three children, passed away August 15, 2013 after a long battle with cancer. Danny moved from Missouri to Kimberly Idaho at the age of seven years old. He attended Kimberly High school and graduated in 1952. Shortly after graduation, he was drafted into the United States Army. After finishing his formal training, Dan was stationed in England for a year, and after two years of service was Honorably Discharged. After his discharge from the Army, Dan worked for local farmers for a few years until he was hired on at Western Electric. In 1958, Dan met and married Marjorie Barton. He was a telephone equipment installer and worked in various locations. During the early years of Dan and Marjorie's marriage, their home was a travel trailer. On January 19, 1971, in Pocatello Idaho Dan and Marjorie's one and only son Michael J. Brown was born. Dan lost his wife after a long battle with cancer, in July 1981. In 1990 he married Jeanine Painter and subsequently lost her to cancer in 1992. Dan retired from Western Electric/AT&T in 1992 after 35 years of service. He then became a Snowbird, wintering in Quartzsite Arizona and spinning his summers in Idaho. He moved to Yuma, Arizona permanently in 2009, where he resided until his death. Dan was a prideful individual and never wanted to put anyone out. He was as tough as nails and fought his cancer to the very end. Dan had his opinions and wouldn't shy away from a good argument. He used his world famous catchphrase "Bull Roar" when he disagreed with a particular viewpoint or flat-out didn't believe what was being said. He was set in his ways and did not like change. Dan would be blunt and would tell it like it is. He was a fantastic father, brother, uncle, grandpa and friend. He will be missed deeply. Surviving Dan is his son, Michael (Christine) Brown, grandson, Justin Brown, brother, Joe (Norma) Brown, nieces, Julie (Mike), Billie (Duane), Jennifer and many great nieces and nephews. His parents, wives (Marjorie, Jeanine) sister, Pat, and his nephew Greg preceded him in death.
