Nina Gladys Bohning 1915 ~ 2013 Nina Gladys Bohning, 97 of Twin Falls, Idaho passed away at home August 15, 2013 with her loving family at her side. She was born in Osceola, Nebraska , on September 4, 1915 to Harry & Edna Gustafson. The family moved to Pierre, South Dakota where she grew up. She was the oldest of the three children. On August 11, 1936, Nina married Fred Bohning in Pierre, South Dakota. They had one daughter, Dianne Lee.They were happily married for 66 years, until Fred passed away on June 3, 2002. Nina worked for many years in retail as a buyer for different clothing stores. After Nina and Fred retired, they spent a lot of time camping and enjoying the outdoors. They loved taking her grandchildren with them on these trips. Nina loved all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much. She enjoyed having them visit her especially in her later years, when she was unable to leave her home. She also had many happy outings with her daughter, Dianne and son-in-law Ron. Her daughter felt honored to been able to take care of her mom for many years when she was unable to care for herself. She was loved so very much by her family and will be forever missed. Surviving Nina is her daughter, Dianne (Ron) Eslinger, four grandchildren, Cynthia (Dan) Mattson, Connie (Kraig) Hills, Kevin (Tracy) Eslinger, and Carolyn (Joaquim) Hailer, 10 great-grandchildren Robert (Jasen) Mattson, Tim (Audrey) Mattson, Tiffany (Anthony) Mayes, Riley Hills, Oren Hills, Elsie Hills, Ashly Eslinger, Morgan Eslinger, Kenzie Eslinger, Atticus Hailer, and her brother, Harry Gustafson, Jr. Her husband Fred, her parents Harry and Edna Gustafson, and her sister Lavon Derschied preceded her in death. Visitation for Nina will be held Sunday, August 18, 2013 from 5 to 7 PM at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Rd., Twin Falls, ID A celebration of Nina's life will be held August 19, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home in Twin Falls, Idaho. The family would like to thank "A Promise of Hope" hospice for their loving care of Nina. They would especially like to thank Melissa for her dedicated and loving care of Nina. She became part of the family and Nina loved her.
