ELDON ARTHUR WOLTERS 1936 ~ 2013 Eldon Arthur Wolters, known as "Eldie" to friends and family, was born April 17, 1936 in Twin Falls ID to Walter (Tiny) and Molly Wolters. He was the youngest of three boys. He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church south of Eden ID. He passed away Aug. 1st at his home in Twin Falls. He went to be with Jesus sitting in his favorite spot at his desk that never seemed to get cleared off. May he rest in God's peace free from pain. Eldon grew up south of Eden and attended Trinity Lutheran School. He graduated from Concordia High School, Portland Or., in 1954. He served in the Air Force at March Air Force Base near Riverside CA where he met his wife of 52 years, Crystal. The couple resided in Idaho where Eldon and his father and brothers owned Tiny and Sons Construction and Farm. He was later self-employed in the mobile home transport business. He was very proud of his 20-year Safe Driving Award. He was a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Twin Falls, ID where he served as Sunday School Superintendent, sang in the choir and worship teams, and was active in the Lutheran Laymen's League, serving as district and zone officer. Eldon loved music and was an accomplished banjo and guitar player. He instilled in his children a respect for music, an honorable work ethic, and a great love for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He is remembered as a man you couldn't help but like and one who left God's blessings with all he came in contact with. Eldon loved his country and was a great patriot and prayer warrior for our nation. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and loving Aunt Clara. He is survived by his faithful and loving wife Crystal and his dearly loved children and grandchildren: Kristy Carlson of Ripon CA and her children Jacob, Andrew, Karisa, Caleb, Philip, and Kendra. Karen (Mark) Hummel of San Ramon, CA and her children Sam and Kristen. Korene (Even) Stevens of Carthage, TN and her son Luke. Kirk (Amy) Wolters of Jerome, ID and his sons Beau and Blake. Survivors also include his brothers Melvin (Elaine) of Jerome, ID and Martin (Marie) of Peck, ID and many beloved nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held on Friday, August 9, at 9:00 am at Trinity Lutheran Church south of Eden ID. 1602 E 100 S, Eden ID. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 am at Immanuel Lutheran Church 2055 Filer Ave E. in Twin Falls. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Immanuel Lutheran School or The Lutheran Hour.
