MERELDA VELCINE NEUMILLER 1940 - 2013 Velcine was born April 9, 1940 in Sturgis, South Dakota. She was delivered by Lillian Kost in her basement. Velcine was the firstborn of seven children, born to Dolore and Eva Elsie Grandpre'. The family lived on the Grandpre'ranch near Gavert, South Dakota. She was baptized into the Evangelized Lutheran Church, December 20, 1953. She was sponsored by Ernest Grandpre' and Adelaide Bekken at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Zeona, South Dakota. The family moved to the Sherwood ranch near Paradise Flat, North Dakota and resided there for some years, until moving back to the Grandpre' ranch. Velcine graduated from McIntosh High school in 1958, while keeping her chores up on the ranch. She married the love of her Life, Kenneth Duane Neumiller on June 29, 1959, at the First Lutheran Church in Placerville, California. Merelda died peacefully at home July 26, 2013 receiving last rites from Pastor Paul D. Johnson of Peace Lutheran Church, surrounded by her sister, Dolores, daughter, Denice, grandson, Gilbert (Christy) Brodie, Sissy, Deanna, Lacy, Leslie, Shooter, and her only six great-grandchildren, whom she lived with for 10 years receiving great amounts of love and comfort and joy. Survivors include her sons, Rob (Julie) Neumiller, Rocklin California, Kurt (Dana) Neumiller of Live Oaks California, daughter Denice (Gilbert) Gravier of Eden Idaho, brothers Ron (Sharon) Grandpre' of Moses Lake Washington, Carrol (Dawne) Grandpre' of Rapid City South Dakota. Sisters, Dolores Huston, of Twin Falls Idaho, Judy (Don) Tishmack of Newell, South Dakota. Seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenny, daughter Danette, granddaughter Deanna, brother Billy Joe and sister Diana. Visitation & Prayer for Velcine will be held Thursday, August 1 from 5:00 to 7:30 PM, at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Rd., Twin Falls, ID, with prayer being held by Pastor Paul D. Johnson. Graveside services for Velcine will be held Monday, August 5, 2013 at 10 AM at the Lakeside Memorial Cemetery in Folsom, California. The family requests that donations be made in her memory to St. Luke's Hospice 801Poleline Rd.
