Evelyn Jean Sterling

Evelyn J. (Jean) Wright Sterling, 57, passed away Fri. July, 19th at home in Twin Falls after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born June 29, 1956 in Twin Falls, the third of 6 children to William O. Sr. and Dorothy (Nipper) Wright. She attended school in Buhl and Filer, graduating in 1974. She attended Graceland College in Lamoni, Iowa and was a proud graduate of the CSI LPN Program. She worked as a caregiver at Sunbridge and Bridgeview Retirement Centers and in the Service Depts. of Roy Raymond Ford and Theisen Motors where she met and married the love of her life Dave Sterling. She was a lifelong member of the Community of Christ Church who was a gentle and generous soul to the very end with a smile and a laugh that lit up every room she ever walked into. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Dave and her father Bill Sr. She is survived by her mother Dorothy Rolland; her sisters Delores (Jim) Marcus and Eilene (Donny) Roberts; brothers Bill Jr. (Renee'), Charles (Katherine) and Jim (Brandi). Her precious daughters, who are both caregivers, Jennifer Biggs (Farrell) Benally and Alena Biggs (Lupe Jr.) Adame ; granddaughters Whitney Biggs and Adriana Garibaldi; grandsons Nate, Zeke and Cole Benally and Lupe Adame III all of Twin Falls. The family would like to thank the entire staff at MSTI and the St. Luke's Hospice Team for the loving and dignified care that they provided. Services will be held Saturday July 27th at 11 a.m. at the Community of Christ Church 20264 Hwy 30, Buhl with Roger Laughlin and Pat Windes officiating. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Jean's daughters to defer Jean's expenses incurred during her fight and for a memorial. A private inurnment will take place at a later date. Services are under the direction of Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home.
