Virginia Elizabeth Cox, 73, of Twin Falls, passed away July 8, 2013 at her home in Twin Falls. She was born on February 21, 1940 in New York, New York, the daughter of Edward and Helen Miller Roach. While in Times Square on n New Year's Eve of 1956, Virginia met the love of her life Willis Cox. He had just returned from Quam, as he was in the US Air force. That New Year's brought the two lives together and they were married on February 15, 1958. To this union was born one son - Michael. Virginia worked as an operator in the telecommunications industry, retiring form Pacific Bell in the early 1990's. Family was the highlight of her life. She always loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her love and generosity will be deeply missed. Virginia was always quick to remember everyone's birthday and special dates. She and Willis enjoyed traveling and spending time together. Virginia loved to gamble and was always content pulling the handles on the slot machines. Surviving are her loving husband - Willis Cox of Twin Falls, son - Michael (JoAnne) Cox of Merced, CA, brother - Richard Roach of Smith Town, New York, grandchildren - Andrew and Jennifer Cox of Fresno, CA and Thomas Cox of Phoenix, AR. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd, Twin Falls, ID. Burial will follow on Monday, July 15, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella, California.
